Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking a reliable Storeperson to join a busy engineering/manufacturing site in Watford. The role focuses on goods in, stock control, picking/packing and dispatch, with opportunities to work across warehousing and logistics tasks.

The successful candidate will have warehouse experience, be computer literate and able to work on their feet, supporting accurate record keeping and smooth dispatch processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and book in deliveries and reconcile with paperwork.

• Support stock counts and maintain tidy, compliant storage areas.
• Collaborate with production and purchasing to ensure parts availability.

Storeperson / Warehouse Operative (Goods In & Dispatch)

We're recruiting a reliable, organised Storeperson to join a busy engineering/manufacturing site. This is a hands-on role focusing on accurate goods in, stock control, picking/packing and dispatch. If you've done similar work in a warehouse, logistics, distribution or retail warehouse environment, we'd like to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check and book in deliveries; match against paperwork and report any discrepancies
• Use a computer system for goods in, stock movements and accurate record keeping
• Pick and pack items to pick lists, ensuring correct quantities, labelling and packaging
• Prepare orders for dispatch, complete basic shipping documentation and liaise with couriers
• Support cycle counts/stock checks and help keep storage areas tidy, compliant and well organised
• Work closely with production/purchasing to help maintain parts availability and traceability

Key skills and experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment is beneficial (goods in, picking/packing, dispatch and/or stock control)
• Comfortable using computers for data entry and basic system updates
• Strong attention to detail and a "right first time" approach
• Able to be on your feet and handle items throughout the shift (manual handling involved)
• Team-focused with clear communication skills
