Job summary

Planet Recruitment is seeking a Stores Operative in Kidlington to join a busy warehouse team. The role requires accuracy, reliability and a hands-on approach to stock control, packing and inventory tasks.

You will handle deliveries, stock movements and use stock management systems, supporting other departments and maintaining a safe, organised workspace.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse, or stock control is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with stock management systems.
• Good numeracy and ability to keep accurate records.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receiving deliveries and checking goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Checking stock for damage or discrepancies and reporting any issues.
• Labelling, storing and organising materials and equipment.
• Picking, packing and issuing stock accurately and efficiently.
• Updating stock records and using computerised inventory systems.
• Assisting with stock checks, stocktakes and investigating discrepancies.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Working closely with other departments to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Following all health and safety procedures, including manual handling and PPE requirements.

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join a busy team in Kidlington. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a warehouse, stores or stock control environment who is organised, reliable and takes pride in working accurately and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Forklift or materials-handling qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential.
