Job summary

HR GO Group is seeking a reliable Storeperson to join a busy engineering/manufacturing site in Watford. This hands-on role focuses on goods in, stock control, picking/packing and dispatch.

You will use a computer system for goods in and stock movements, perform cycle counts, and liaise with production and purchasing to maintain parts availability. The position requires strong attention to detail, teamwork and the ability to stay on your feet for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and book in deliveries; match against paperwork and report discrepancies

• Prepare orders for dispatch, complete basic shipping documentation and liaise with couriers
• Support cycle counts/stock checks and help keep storage areas tidy, compliant and well organised
• Work closely with production/purchasing to help maintain parts availability and traceability

We're recruiting a reliable, organised Storeperson to join a busy engineering/manufacturing site. This is a hands-on role focusing on accurate goods in, stock control, picking/packing and dispatch. If you've done similar work in a warehouse, logistics, distribution or retail warehouse environment, we'd like to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check and book in deliveries; match against paperwork and report any discrepancies
• Use a computer system for goods in, stock movements and accurate record keeping
• Pick and pack items to pick lists, ensuring correct quantities, labelling and packaging
• Prepare orders for dispatch, complete basic shipping documentation and liaise with couriers
• Support cycle counts/stock checks and help keep storage areas tidy, compliant and well organised
• Work closely with production/purchasing to help maintain parts availability and traceability

Key skills and experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment is beneficial (goods in, picking/packing, dispatch and/or stock control)
• Comfortable using computers for data entry and basic system updates
• Strong attention to detail and a \"right first time\" approach
• Able to be on your feet and handle items throughout the shift (manual handling involved)
• Team-focused with clear communication skills
