Job summary

Asarum Ltd in the Southampton area is seeking a permanent Storesperson to manage stores inventory, issue materials to Production, Engineering, Projects and Service, and maintain accurate stock records. You will perform goods inward inspection, label management, stock counts and stock kitting, package customer orders and vendor returns, and support material preparation tasks.

• At least 3 years’ experience with ERP systems, stores, and inventory in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Good IT skills, particularly with ERP, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to follow written procedures with great attention to detail.
• Understanding of manual handling, COSHH, and health & safety protocols preferable.
• Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 standards and lean manufacturing principles preferable.

Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Storesperson role within a scientific manufacturing company based Near Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stores inventory, issuing materials to various departments such as Production, Engineering, Projects, and Service, and maintaining accurate stock records. This role requires a proactive team member who can ensure smooth workflow, maintain safe working conditions, and support various areas as needed, including offsite work when necessary.

Additional Duties

Additional duties include goods inward inspection, label management, periodic stock counts, and supporting development of inventory processes. The Storesperson will also handle stock kitting for works orders, package customer orders and vendor returns, and assist with material preparation tasks such as cleaning, inspection, and low-level assembly.
