Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts at Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa in Glasgow is seeking a part-time Stores Assistant to join our team. This hands-on role ensures deliveries are received, stock is accurately managed and back-of-house areas stay clean and safe.

You will handle goods in, cellar stock and daily inventory processes, working 32 hours per week with shifts 6:30am–1:00pm. We offer a competitive rate of £13.44 per hour (£22,364.16 annual) and benefits including a free meal on shift, 28 days holiday

Qualifications

• Availability to work 32 hours per week.

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Comfortable with manual handling and moving stock throughout the hotel.
• Reliable team player with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and accurately record all deliveries against purchase orders.
• Ensure all goods are stored correctly in line with food safety and storage standards.
• Receive, count, check and put away beverage deliveries (Tuesday and Friday).
• Process and log all delivery invoices using Procure Wizard (PW).
• Maintain accurate delivery records and invoice control.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked cellar.
• Build and process stock requisitions from the cellar to bars and restaurants.
• Carry out accurate stock transfers and balance cellar stock.
• Prepare and deliver daily beverage stock to outlets based on requisitions.
• Complete beer line cleaning every two weeks.
• Maintain all storage areas to high standards of cleanliness, safety and organisation.
• Keep team areas stocked, tidy and presentable.
• Ensure bin stores and waste areas are clean, organised and managed in line with hygiene standards.
• Monitor stock of consumables and replenish as required.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, health & safety and storage procedures.
• Report any maintenance, pest control, cleanliness or waste concerns promptly.

We are looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Stores Assistant to join our team. This is a hands‑on role that is vital to the smooth operation of the hotel, ensuring deliveries are received efficiently, stock is accurately managed, and all back‑of‑house areas remain clean, safe and well organised.

What You’ll Be Doing

Goods In & Deliveries

About You

• Available to work 32 hours per week
• 5 days out of 7. Shifts between 6:30am – 1:00pm
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
• Comfortable with manual handling and moving stock throughout the hotel.
• A reliable team player with a proactive approach and a strong work ethic.
• Previous stores, stock control, warehouse or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
