Owen Daniels in London is seeking a Stores Team Leader to own materials, inventory and logistics within a manufacturing business.

You will lead the day-to-day operations of the warehousing team, manage goods inwards, stock movements and dispatch, and drive continuous improvement.

This permanent on-site role (Kingsbury, Greater London) is 39 hours a week Mon-Fri, with a hands-on approach and involvement in the Dynamics 365 ERP rollout going live November 2026.

• Proven experience leading a warehouse, stores, logistics, materials or service team within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience using an ERP or warehouse management system.
• Strong people-management and coaching skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities with a proactive approach.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Service Team, overseeing Goods Inwards, Inventory, internal material movements, kitting, packing and shipping to ensure materials and finished goods are handled safely, accurately and on time.
• Allocate daily tasks, prioritize workloads and lead daily team meetings to review operational requirements, safety, stock shortages, shipping priorities and outstanding actions.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members, creating a multi-skilled team through structured training, clear expectations and ongoing support.
• Support the implementation and adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), going live in November 2026, ensuring accurate transactions, consistent processes and effective use of mobile scanning systems.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, oversee goods receipt, stock movements, Kanban replenishment, cycle counting and kitting, while managing packing, carrier bookings, shipping documentation and dispatch activities.

We are working with a respected engineering manufacturer who are looking for a Stores Team Leader to join their operations team. The successful candidate will have proven experience leading a team within a manufacturing, engineering or logistics environment, alongside strong organizational skills, a hands-on approach and the confidence to support the implementation of a new ERP system.

Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a warehouse, stores, logistics, materials or service team within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of Goods Inwards, inventory control, material handling, kitting, packing and dispatch, with experience using an ERP or warehouse management system.
• Excellent people-management skills, including task allocation, workload prioritization, coaching, mentoring and the ability to lead daily team meetings.
• Good digital skills and the ability to maintain accurate stock records, investigate discrepancies and follow controlled processes, with confidence using or learning Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, assertive and collaborative approach to decision-making, continuous improvement and working under pressure.
