Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions Limited in Thetford is seeking an experienced Stores Team Leader to manage a busy stores function supporting production across two sites. You will supervise a small team, drive stock control, ensure accurate inbound reception and timely material issuing to production.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores/warehouse stock control.
• Experience leading a small team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills using stock management systems.
• Forklift licence and ability to operate forklift truck.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with colleagues across the business.
• Proactive and positive problem-solving approach.
• Ability to manage a large and varied product range.
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Stores Department across two sites in Thetford.
• Lead, motivate and develop a small team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Work closely with Production Team Leaders to plan material requirements.
• Liaise daily with Purchasing, Production and Customer Services teams.
• Ensure all goods received are accurately checked, booked in and stored correctly.
• Ensure materials are issued accurately and on time to support production.
• Maintain stock accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate regular cycle counts and stock checks.
• Identify and implement improvements to stores processes and controls.
• Ensure quality procedures and company standards are followed at all times.
• Attend daily production meetings and prioritise workload where required.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture within the department.
• Carry out risk assessments, investigations and regular health and safety audits.
