Spire Dunedin Hospital has an opportunity for an experienced and highly organised Stores Team Leader to join our team.

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the stores to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work within the theatre procurement team to ensure required kit, consumables, and prostheses are available to enable additional cases to proceed.
  • Collaborate with clinical areas, including wards, theatres, endoscopy, and Pre-Assessment, to ensure all stock and consumables are available to support assigned cases.
  • Establish, implement, and manage systems to evaluate, monitor, and report supplier performance, stock rotation, stock checks, and audits.
  • Attend weekly Theatre planning meetings.
  • Contribute to developing the hospital supply chain and stock holding strategy to deliver significant changes and improvements.
  • Lead and oversee routine stock checks.
Who We're Looking For:
  • Experience in a similar healthcare role.
  • Experience in procurement and stock management.
  • Ability to identify challenges and work within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
  • English Language and Mathematics GCSE or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven ability to process data accurately and effectively.
  • Methodical, systematic working approach with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Outlook, Theatre Diaries, Excel, and Business Objects.
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written, with healthcare staff, including Consultants.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Spire's Patient Admin System, and Business Objects.
Working Hours:

Full Time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, occasional weekends as required.

Contract Type:

Permanent, Full Time.
