Job summary

Conservatory Outlet in Wakefield is seeking an organised Stores Supervisor to lead the daily operation of our Stores department. You will supervise and motivate the Stores team, ensure stock is accurately controlled, and that deliveries are processed efficiently to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires experience in a stores or warehouse environment with supervisory responsibility, strong leadership and IT skills, and a full UK driving licence. Competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse, materials or stock-control environment.
• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience.
• Good knowledge of stock-control processes and material handling.
• Experience managing a high volume and variety of stock products.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and motivate the Stores team. Plan and allocate daily workloads in line with production priorities.
• Oversee the receipt, storage, picking and issuing of materials. Ensure deliveries are checked, recorded and put away accurately.
• Maintain accurate stock records and complete regular stock checks. Investigate stock discrepancies, shortages and errors.
• Monitor workflow, delays and bottlenecks; take corrective action.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching and on-the-job training to staff.
• Work with Production, Purchasing, Yard and Transport; ensure safety and compliance.
