Job summary

CO Home Improvements is looking for a Stores & Warehouse Operative to support daily operations at our Leyland site, with occasional travel to Kendal. You will manage stock flow from receiving to storage, ensuring materials are available for installation teams and prepared for projects.

Typical duties include stock bookings, deliveries, and keeping inventory accurate. A forklift licence or related knowledge is advantageous, with full UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a stores or warehouse role is desirable.
• Organised, reliable and attentive to detail.
• Comfortable with stock control systems and Microsoft Office.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Confident handling stock safely and following health and safety procedures.
• A forklift licence, window and door industry knowledge, or warehousing qualification would be an advantage—but training can be provided.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving deliveries and check for completeness and damage.
• Book stock into the system and maintain inventory records.
• Investigate discrepancies and arrange returns if needed.
• Maintain stock levels to support installation teams.
• Keep stores and warehouse safe, identified and accessible.
• Prepare, pick and load materials for installation teams.
• Carry out occasional deliveries using the company van.
