• Ensuring proper storage of materials and equipment.
• Operating warehouse equipment, including FLT where required.
• Liaising with other departments and supporting dock operations.
• Ensuring the stores area is clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Leading by example and ensuring company procedures are followed.
• Reporting issues, shortages, damages, or equipment defects to management.

Location: Middlesbrough, TS6

Pay Rate: £14.45 per hour + overtime rates

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Store Supervisor to join a busy industrial team based in Middlesbrough (TS6). This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous stores, warehouse, or supervisory experience who is confident coordinating day-to-day operations and supporting a team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the stores operation, ensuring stock, materials, and equipment are managed efficiently and accurately while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day stores operation
• Supporting and allocating duties to members of the stores team
• Receiving, checking, and booking in deliveries
• Overseeing the picking, packing, and issuing of stock
• Maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring effective inventory control
• Monitoring stock levels and identifying any discrepancies
• Ensuring materials and equipment are stored correctly and efficiently
• Operating warehouse equipment, including FLT where required
• Liaising with other departments and supporting wider dock operations
• Ensuring the stores area is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
• Leading by example and ensuring company procedures are followed
• Reporting any issues, shortages, damages, or equipment defects to management

Requirements

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics environment
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience is essential
• Strong organisational and stock control skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident communicating with colleagues, management, and external suppliers
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage a busy working environment
• FLT experience/licence is desirable
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Able to work independently and confidently lead a team
