Job summary

Mettler Toledo is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor at our UK site to lead and develop a high-performing team, drive safety, and ensure accurate inventory and on-time material availability.

You will manage daily workloads, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in warehouse processes, aiming for high performance and reliable deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Warehouse, Stores or Inventory Supervisory role.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Lean Manufacturing experience and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and deliver results under pressure.
• Good working knowledge of inventory control and stock accuracy management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a positive safety culture and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures.
• Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy, traceability and Right First Time kitting performance.
• Ensure material availability to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
• Manage and prioritise daily workloads, escalating shortages and supply risks as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity and inventory performance.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, material issues, and non-conformances.
• Recruit, coach and develop team members, fostering engagement and accountability.
• Conduct performance reviews, manage attendance and support succession planning.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and deliver against SQDCP objectives.
• Demonstrate ability to lead and motivate operational teams in a fast-paced environment.

What You\'ll Do

• Lead and promote a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all health & safety procedures and standards.
• Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy, traceability and Right First Time kitting performance.
• Ensure material availability to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
• Manage and prioritise daily workloads, escalating material shortages and supply risks where required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity and inventory performance.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, material issues and non-conformances.
• Recruit, coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability and high performance.
• Conduct performance reviews, manage attendance and support succession and skills development planning.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and deliver against Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People (SQDCP) objectives.
• Proven experience in a Warehouse, Stores or Inventory Supervisory role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience of Lean Manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong customer focus with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, solve problems and deliver results under pressure.
• Good working knowledge of inventory control, warehouse processes and stock accuracy management.
