Job summary

The Best Connection in Middlesbrough is seeking an experienced FLT & Scissor Lift Operative to join their team on an ongoing basis. This role involves working in a stores/warehouse environment, handling stock, and operating FLT equipment.

You will perform stock checks, cycle counting, and ensure accurate records while following health and safety procedures. Licences for Counterbalance FLT, HLOP, and Scissor Lift are required; comfortable working at heights is essential.

Responsibilities

Forklift & Scissor Lift Operative

Location: Middlesbrough, TS6

Pay: £14.18 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Job Type: Full-time, ongoing

Weekends: No weekend work

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced FLT & Scissor Lift Operative to join their team in Middlesbrough on an ongoing basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous stores and warehouse experience who is confident working with stock, operating FLT equipment and working at height.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and organising stock within the stores
• Carrying out regular stock checks and cycle counting
• Receiving, checking and putting away stock
• Picking and preparing materials as required
• Maintaining accurate stock records
• Using computer systems to record and manage stock
• Operating FLT and access equipment safely
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient stores area

Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

• Previous experience working within a stores/warehouse environment
• Good knowledge of stores processes and cycle counting
• Good computer literacy
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A good understanding of health and safety

Licences Required

Candidates must hold valid licences/certification for:

• Counterbalance FLT
• HLOP (High Level Order Picker)
• Scissor Lift

You must also be comfortable working at heights.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

No weekends required.
