Job summary

Hiddenwell is seeking an organised Stores Assistant to join our team at Ardencote Manor. You will be responsible for receiving, checking and storing deliveries, maintaining accurate stock records and supporting stock control across the business.

You will work closely with the Head of Stores and operating teams to ensure PAR levels are met and stock is kept safe and well-organised. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores/stock control, goods-in or warehousing.
• Excellent organisation and time-management.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confidence checking deliveries and maintaining stock records.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
• Experience with ProcureWizard is advantageous.
• Understanding of stock rotation and stock-control principles.
• Reliable, practical and hands-on approach.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and storing catering and beverage deliveries
• Checking deliveries against orders and relevant documentation
• Ensuring stock received is undamaged and everything ordered is accounted for
• Reporting shortages, damaged goods and delivery discrepancies promptly
• Issuing stock and accurately recording goods moving in and out of Stores
• Preparing and fulfilling stock requests from departments across the business
• Maintaining appropriate stock levels against agreed PAR levels
• Highlighting low stock or shortages to the Head of Stores
• Keeping Stores areas clean, tidy, safe and well organised
• Ensuring stock is stored correctly and safely
• Maintaining accurate stock records using ProcureWizard
• Supporting stock control and ordering within agreed budgets
• Assisting with monthly stock counts
• Working closely with the Head of Stores, Kitchen and wider operational teams
• Following Health & Safety, manual handling and safe working procedures
• Supporting the wider operation when required
