Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Birmingham area seeks a Stores Controller for a on-site role at a food production facility in Bournville, offering part-time or full-time flexibility.
You will manage deliveries of cable, lighting units, containment and other consumables, organise stores, process delivery notes, and may drive a small van to suppliers; a valid UK driving licence with points is required.
B30 1JR Full Time or Part Time:
7.30am - 4.00pm there is some flexibility over the working days.
The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major electrical and mechanical installations within the food processing industry.
The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Stores Person
Typical duties will include taking delivery of cable, lighting units, containment, transformers and general consumables then storing safely and securely in the stores before moving, when required to the area where the electrical installation works are taking place.
The delivery notes will need to be processed in line with the company's procedures.
Other duties may include driving the works car/small van to collect materials from the suppliers and assisting the electricians with basic electrical duties as necessary and as instructed.
About You Based ideally in Bournville you will need to live within a short commutable distance of B30 1JR. Demonstrable experience within a stores or materials control role is preferred although full training will be given.
Full UK driving licence with a minimum of 3 points is essential.
The stores roll is part time; however additional electrical mate duties could be arranged working alongside the site electrician's if you wanted to work full time.
Previous commercial electrical experience would be required for this additional work.
