Job summary

E3 Recruitment is recruiting an Engineering Stores Controller for a permanent, days-based role in Desford with a leading manufacturing company paying up to £40,000 per year.

You will manage daily Engineering Stores operations, process orders for spare parts, fuels and chemicals, and oversee stock reconciliation using CMMS. The role is Monday–Friday with a strong pension and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with an Engineering Stores system and stock control.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Engineering parts and consumables stores control and stock allocation.
• The day-to-day management of the Engineering Stores.
• Conduct daily and end-of-month checks of fuel and chemical stock levels and responsible for safe storage in line with COSHH requirements.
• Daily check of PPE and other production-based consumables.
• Manage stock levels using CMMS.
• Vet and research new and existing suppliers for better quality or price.
• Carry out period stock checks of all spares (cycle counts).
• Take remedial action due to stock levels in a timely manner.
• Supply goods/parts to all areas of the factory as required.
• Collect/transport goods to/from site.
• Assist engineering teams in creating kits for planned maintenance tasks.
• Liaise between management and suppliers to meet delivery deadlines and best price.
• Control of stores spending against budgets.
• Assist with planning parts around maintenance shutdowns.

We are recruiting an Engineering Stores Controller for a permanent, Monday to Friday days-based role in Desford with a leading manufacturing company paying a salary up to £40,000 per year.

You will manage daily Engineering Stores operations, process order requests for spare parts & consumables, fuels & chemicals at the correct times; handle financial reconciliation of stock and orders, and administer the computerised planned maintenance system.

Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Stores Controller

• Engineering parts and consumables stores control and stock allocation
• The day-to-day management of the Engineering Stores

Experience Required for the Engineering Stores Controller

• Experience of an Engineering Stores System - stock control, computer based, PPM system
• Computer literate including Microsoft Word, Excel
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised
