Job summary

Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is seeking a Stores Person for a busy warehouse environment in Witney. The role involves receiving goods, unloading deliveries, inspecting for damage, and recording stock in the computer system.

You will help with packaging and despatch, and maintain accurate stock records; occasional local deliveries by van may be required. Ideal candidates will have stores/warehouse experience, a forklift licence (advantageous), and a full UK driving licence

Qualifications

• Previous stores or warehouse control experience
• Ability to receive goods and manage stock records
• Competent with computer systems for invoicing/delivery entries
• Able to assist with despatch and packaging when required
• Keen attention to detail and accurate typing/record keeping

Responsibilities

• Goods in: receive all goods into the company

Job description

We are currently looking for a Stores Person to join our client's growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous stores or warehouse control experience who is looking to work within a fast-paced and friendly environment.

• As Stores Person, your main duties will include:

• Goods in - To receive all goods into the company
• Offloading/loading deliveries
• Carry out inspection of delivered goods for damage
• Booking deliveries into the computer system and allocating accordingly
• Help with packaging of goods for despatch
• Stock control - Ensure keeping of accurate stock records
• Occasional use of company van to deliver goods to local suppliers

• Skills required as a Stores Person:

• Forklift licence is advantageous
• Full UK driving licence is advantageous
• Proficient IT skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

• The details:

• £13.94 - £15.38 DOE
• Temporary to permanent position
• 8am - 5pm
• Monday to Friday
• Witney location so easily accessible
