Job description

Location: Peterhead (With travel to third part sites)

Duration: 6 months Contract

Work type: Full time, Monday – Friday, 37.5hours

We’re currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Stock Count / Materials Controller to accurately audit inventory stock, reconciling identified discrepancies and to make necessary adjustments tot stock item details to reflect accurate stock levels. Accurately receive, store and issue stock materials in accordance with customer and company requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate anomalies and amend any variances as required
  • Providing solutions to help prevent reoccurrences of continuous variances
  • Enter information correctly using an appropriate system. Retrieve and present information in a suitable format and supply as required.
  • Produce stock count reports for review
  • Ensure requests for materials are received, located and properly actioned in accordance with procedures and that the materials system is updated accordingly;
  • Assist in identifying any items that are damaged, beyond economic repair, lapsed preservation or expired.
  • Ensure materials stored in the Warehouse and external storage areas are done so in compliance with procedures, e.g. correctly identified with stock codes, location and weights and protected from environmental damage;
  • Ad-hoc duties as required in line with applicable training/competency assessments undertaken.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current UK driving licence
  • Maintains positive work relationships
  • Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Solutions based with strong planning, organising and numeric skills, and an excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and logical problem solving ability
  • Respect and confidentiality
  • High accuracy and data integrity expectations
  • Broad operational experience and proven track record in the oil and gas industry, specifically within a warehouse/materials function.
  • Awareness of UK Oil and Gas Guidelines and demonstrated experience in implementing the same.
  • Diligence in relation to health, safety, environment and quality, articulated through exemplary personal HSEQ standards.
  • Excellent customer relations skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to plan and organise workload whilst being flexible to cope with changing priorities.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP.
  • Practical understanding of data entry and reporting applications, specifically SAP warehouse transactions and processes
  • Focused on service delivery.
  • Product knowledge in Oil and Gas ops spares
  • Organised, methodical with exceptional attention to detail
