Job summary

South West Recruitment Ltd are seeking a detail-oriented Stores Technician to join our team. You will manage the receipt, inspection, and handling of goods in the stores, ensuring quality standards and stock control.

Hours are 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday, with an early finish on rotation. Starting salary up to £25,000 with potential to rise to £27,200 after training, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• General numeracy and literacy skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and MRP systems.
• Organized, self-motivated with good attention to detail.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Familiarity with inspection equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Forklift experience is desirable but not essential.

The Company are a leading company in designing, manufacturing, and supplying high-performance sensors globally, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stores Technician to join our team. The Stores Technician will be responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and handling of goods in the stores department, ensuring compliance with quality standards and stock control.

Hours

8am to 4pm Monday to Friday (early finish Friday on rotation)

Salary

up to £25,000 per annum depending on experience

Once training is complete the salary will rise to £27,200 per annum.

Responsibilities of the Stores Technician

• Receive, book, and inspect goods
• Ensure compliance with quality standards
• Correctly label and store goods
• Pick kits and issue materials
• Pack and label finished goods
• Control inventory and rotate stock
• Dispatch finished items promptly
• Provide cover in any store location within the business
• Adhere to operational procedures, rules, and schedules

Day-to-day

The Stores Technician will be responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and handling of goods in the stores department, ensuring compliance with quality standards and stock control. This includes stock control, picking, packing, and dispatching goods while ensuring compliance with purchase orders, mechanical drawings, and component specifications.
