Job description

THE OPPORTUNITY

A precision manufacturer that continues to grow and invest is looking for a stores person to carry out multiple functions.

• Issuing and ordering stock from a BOM through an ERP/MRP system
• Delivering picked goods lineside
• Conducting rational stock checks
• Maintaining high levels of housekeeping
• Receiving all deliveries and checking goods received
• Keeping detailed records of shortages
• Liaising with suppliers to progress and discuss orders
• Helping to reduce costs
• Managing stock levels
• Collaborating with production to ensure no delays

Some manufacturing and previous stock control and purchasing experience are essential.

Opportunities to advance are available, and additional training will be provided as part of the role.

Skills & Experience

You will be self-motivated, able to carry out multiple roles, have a high attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with team members.

Must have or be able to:

• Have a stores background with procurement knowledge
• Adhere to all company policies and instructions
• Possess good IT skills

Experience in the following would be an advantage:

• Reading engineering drawings
• Experience in a manufacturing business
• Experience with an ERP/MRP system
