Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD is seeking an experienced Stores Operative / Forklift Driver for our busy warehouse in East Kilbride. The role involves safe forklift operation, stock movement and accurate picking/packing within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Counterbalance forklift licence, have warehouse or manufacturing experience, and demonstrate strong health & safety awareness, reliability and good communication. An immediate start may be available.

WAREHOUSE OPERATOR / FORKLIFT DRIVER

Location: East Kilbride
Salary: Up to £28,000
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Schedule: Monday - Friday | Day Shift | 8 Hour Shifts

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Stores Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy warehouse team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment based in East Kilbride.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual with previous warehouse and forklift experience who is looking to secure a permanent role with a well-established company.

The Role:

Working as part of the warehouse and stores team, you will be responsible for the safe movement, storage, and organisation of materials and products while supporting the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Moving materials and stock throughout the warehouse and production areas
• Picking, packing, and organising stock accurately
• Carrying out routine forklift checks and reporting any faults or issues
• Assisting with stock control and inventory management
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Following all health & safety procedures and company guidelines
• Supporting general warehouse and stores duties as required

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence/Certification
• Previous warehouse, stores, or manufacturing experience
• Good understanding of health & safety within a warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking approach
