A Stores Person role with Aspire Recruitment in Greater Manchester is offering £13.45 per hour for 37.5 hours per week. The position is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity within a busy manufacturing operation, with the potential to secure permanent employment after a successful temporary period.

The ideal candidate will have experience in stores, warehouse, logistics or manufacturing, with strong stock control and inventory management skills and good IT proficiency in stock systems or MS

Responsabilidades

• Receiving and booking in deliveries
• Checking goods against delivery notes and reporting discrepancies
• Inspecting stock for shortages, damages or quality issues
• Storing materials accurately and safely in the stores area
• Issuing tools, equipment, PPE and production materials as required
• Picking, packing and dispatching orders
• Completing stock counts and cycle checks
• Updating stock movements using inventory systems
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Operating FLT equipment where authorised
• Supporting production and operational teams with stock/material requirements

Are you an experienced Stores Person, Warehouse Operative or Stock Controller looking for a stable, long-term opportunity?

We're recruiting for a reliable and organised Stores Person to join a busy manufacturing operation in Greater Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive team where your contribution will be valued, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

This role would suit someone who enjoys a hands‑on working environment, takes pride in maintaining accurate stock records and has experience supporting operational or production teams through effective stock control and materials management.

The Role

As a Stores Person, you'll play a key role in ensuring materials, equipment and stock are received, stored and issued efficiently to support daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and booking in deliveries
• Checking goods against delivery notes and reporting any discrepancies
• Inspecting stock for shortages, damages or quality issues
• Storing materials accurately and safely within the stores area
• Issuing tools, equipment, PPE and production materials as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

• Previous experience within a Stores, Warehouse, Logistics or Manufacturing environment
• Experience with stock control and inventory management
• Good IT skills and confidence using stock systems or Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time management skills
• The ability to prioritise workload and work independently
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• A reliable and flexible approach to work

Desirable Skills

• Counterbalance or Reach FLT Licence
• Experience using ERP, WMS or stock management systems
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Manual handling training
