Job summary

Adcock Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in Chelmsford is seeking a full-time, permanent Warehouse Stock Controller. You will take ownership of a busy warehouse to ensure engineers have the tools, parts and equipment needed to deliver excellent customer service, by picking parts and arranging collection or delivery to sites.

You will receive, check, process and pack deliveries, control stock in stores and engineers' vans, and run regular stock takes while maintaining tidy stores.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in electrical, plumber wholesalers, builders' merchants or similar supplier-based industry.
• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industry experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Current, valid UK driving licence; some driving/deliveries to site may be required.
• Comfortable with some manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Pick parts and equipment for jobs and arrange collection or delivery to sites.
• Receive, check, process and pack away deliveries of service parts and installation units.
• Control stock in stores and engineers' vans, run regular stock takes, and maintain tidy store areas. Order parts and materials for installation works.
• Managing refrigerants and gas cylinders supply and recording; looking after tools and hired access equipment.
• Conducting statutory checks: van inspections, PAT testing, ladder inspections and fire safety checks.
• Managing the branch fleet and overseeing waste and recycling.
