Job summary

Adcock Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in Chelmsford is recruiting a capable warehouse controller who can keep engineers and customers happy by ensuring the right parts are available when needed.

You will pick parts, arrange collection or delivery, check and pack deliveries, and manage stock in stores and vans, with regular stock takes and orderly stores. A driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in electrical, plumber wholesaler, builder's merchants or similar supplier-based industry.
• Some working experience within Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Comfortable with some manual handling.
• Current, valid UK driving licence as some driving/deliveries to site may be required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a busy warehouse and ensure engineers have tools, parts and equipment they need.
• Pick parts and arrange collection or delivery to sites.
• Receive, check, process and pack away deliveries of service parts and installation units.
• Control stock in stores and engineers' vans, run regular stock takes and maintain tidy store areas.
• Order parts and materials for installation works.
• Manage refrigerants and gas cylinders supply and recording.
• Look after tools and hired access equipment.
• Conduct statutory checks: van inspections, PAT testing, ladder inspections and fire safety checks.
• Manage the branch fleet and oversee waste and recycling.
