Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution in the UK is recruiting an Operator (Stores) for Redruth to handle routine inspection, maintenance and repair of tools and PPE, and to assist with stores management and asset inspection. Training will be provided.

You should have an LGV Category C license and forklift training, be able to work independently in a safety-critical environment, and be willing to travel across West Cornwall with possible out-of-hours standby duties as required.

Qualifications

• Licence to drive an LGV up to category C.
• Certified forklift truck operation training.
• Ability to work on own initiative in a safety-critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine inspection, maintenance and repair of tools and PPE.
• Assisting with the maintenance of stores and with inspection of network assets as required.
• Be flexible to meet team objectives and may undertake out-of-hours standby duties.
