Job summary

Escape Recruitment is recruiting a Stores Operative for a manufacturing business in Livingston. You will handle goods receiving, stock control, forklift operation and admin tasks to ensure production teams have materials on hand.

The role requires stock control experience, a forklift qualification and training in handling chemicals and dangerous goods. You will work with multiple teams in a busy site, maintaining safety and order.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores/warehouse/stock control.

Responsibilities

• Receiving deliveries and checking goods for damage, discrepancies and accuracy.
• Recording goods received and stock movements on a computerised stock control system.
• Locating, storing and labelling materials for easy retrieval.
• Picking and issuing materials to departments across the site.
• Managing stock rotation and monitoring material availability.
• Operating a forklift truck and daily manual handling tasks.
• Handling chemicals and dangerous goods per training and safety procedures.
• Reporting and separating damaged or rejected materials.
• Supporting Stores and Purchasing teams with administration.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Escape Recruitment is recruiting a Stores Operative on behalf of an established manufacturing business. This varied, hands-on role combines goods receiving, stock control, forklift operation and administration, helping ensure production teams have the materials they need.

The role

Working within the Stores team, your responsibilities will include:

• Receiving deliveries and checking goods for damage, discrepancies and accuracy.
