Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) is recruiting for Stores Operatives to join a secure, high-profile manufacturing project in Coventry. The role focuses on receiving, storing and supplying materials to production schedules, maintaining stock accuracy and supporting a fast-paced environment.

You will use warehouse systems and scanners, perform stock counts, and ensure clean, safe working conditions while following 5S and lean practices. Up to £70,000 plus car allowance and benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stores/warehouse/logistics or production environments.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow work instructions and processes.
• Experience handling stock and materials.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems.
• Previous stock control or inventory experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
• FLT experience or licences would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and book in deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Store materials and components safely and accurately within designated locations.
• Pick and issue stock to production areas in line with work schedules.
• Carry out stock control activities and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Use warehouse management systems, scanners or manual documentation to record stock movements.
• Support stock counts and inventory audits.
• Report stock discrepancies, shortages or damaged goods.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S).
• Collaborate with stores, logistics and production teams to meet operational requirements.

Day Shift - Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm

Manpower is currently recruiting for Stores Operatives to join a secure, high-profile manufacturing project based in Coventry.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term assignment within a fast-paced production environment, supporting the movement, storage and control of materials and components critical to manufacturing operations.

The Role

As a Stores Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring materials, components and stock are received, stored, controlled and supplied accurately to support production schedules and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, check and book in deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.


• Store materials and components safely and accurately within designated locations.


• Pick and issue stock to production areas in line with work schedules.


• Carry out stock control activities and maintain accurate inventory records.


• Use warehouse management systems, scanners or manual documentation to record stock movements.


• Support stock counts and inventory audits.


• Report stock discrepancies, shortages or damaged goods.


• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.


• Follow all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.


• Support continuous improvement and 5S housekeeping initiatives.


• Work collaboratively with stores, logistics and production teams to ensure operational requirements are met.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or production environment.


• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
