Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is recruiting a Stores Operative for a busy Hull site (HU7 area). You will operate a Counterbalance Forklift, move stock, receive deliveries and prepare orders for dispatch in a safety-focused environment.

We are looking for candidates with a valid Counterbalance licence, proven stores/warehouse experience, and strong attention to detail. Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, with steady ongoing work and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance Forklift licence is essential.
• Experience in stores, warehouse, or logistics environment.
• Good understanding of stock control and inventory processes.

Stores Operative

Location: HU7 Area, Hull

Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join a well-established business based in the HU area of Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced stores professional with a Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence to join a busy and supportive team.

The Role

As a Stores Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and dispatch of materials and products across the site. You will be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, supporting production operations, and operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move materials and finished goods
• Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
• Receiving, checking, and booking in stock deliveries
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels
• Ensuring materials are supplied to production areas as required
• Carrying out routine stock checks and cycle counts
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe stores environment
• Following all health and safety procedures and company policies
• Supporting other warehouse and stores activities as required

About You

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (essential)
• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics environment
• Good understanding of stock control and inventory processes
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to support wider operations
