Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) seeks a Stores Operative for HMP Bure, Norfolk. The role is full-time, 39 hours weekly, with a salary of £30,006.34/year, supporting a secure prison operation and inventory control.

You will work with technicians and admins to maintain supplies and safety. Desirable qualifications include forklift cert, licences, and First Aid at Work, plus strong health & safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Fork Lift Truck Certificate.
• Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
• Full driving licence preferably with D1.
• HGV Licence.
• Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Job Role: Stores Operative

Location: HMP Bure -Jaguar Drive, Norfolk NR105GB

Salary: £30,006.34

Contract: Full tim-39 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated Stores Operative to join our team at HMP Bure, a Category C & Adult/Male prison.

As a Stores Operative , you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

• Fork Lift Truck Certificate

Future Plans.

GFSL has been notified by it's shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
