Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Stores Operative to join Vantage Lifting Solutions in Whitefield, Manchester. The role supports the day-to-day running of a busy stores operation, ensuring efficient receipt, storage and distribution of materials. Full training is provided, including Health & Safety and site access.

The position is full-time, with a 40-hour week from Monday to Friday, starting at 08:00 and finishing at 16:30. This role requires a positive attitude and the ability to handle manual tasks safely.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to carry out manual handling and physical duties.
• Basic IT skills to support inventory and stock control processes.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Fork Lift Truck Licence.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and safely store deliveries.
• Book goods in and out using the inventory management system.
• Maintain accurate stock records and produce inventory reports.
• Keep storage areas clean, organised and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
• Support the movement, handling and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general labouring duties as required.
• Support vehicle management activities, including vehicle tracking and checks.
• Follow all company policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements.

We are looking for a Stores Operative to join Vantage Lifting Solutions, part of Mitie Telecoms, supporting the day-to-day running of a busy stores operation in Whitefield, Manchester.

This is a hands-on role where you will help ensure the efficient receipt, storage, tracking and distribution of materials and equipment. You will play a key part in keeping the stores organised, maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring operational teams have the equipment and resources they need to succeed.

Role Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and safely store deliveries.
