Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Wakefield is seeking a Stores Operative to join their busy warehouse team. The Best Connection is acting as the recruitment partner for this temp-to-perm opportunity.

Key duties include receiving deliveries, unloading goods, maintaining stock, and issuing materials to production, with a focus on accurate inventory control and safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or stock control position.
• A valid FLT Counterbalance B1 licence would be desirable but not essential.
• Strong stock management and inventory control experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check deliveries and ensure goods arrive in good condition.
• Unload vehicles safely using mechanical handling equipment.
• Organise, sort and maintain warehouse stock and monitor stock levels.
• Issue materials to production operatives and maintain stock records.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 4:30pm and Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm (40 hours per week)

Stores Operative to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with warehouse and stock control experience looking for long-term employment with the potential of a permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities

As a Stores Operative, your duties will include:

• Receiving and checking deliveries, ensuring goods arrive in good condition
• Safely unloading vehicles using mechanical handling equipment
• Organising, sorting and maintaining warehouse stock
• Monitoring and managing stock levels
• Investigating and following up on late deliveries or missing items
• Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting stock takes
• Operating a Counterbalance B1 Forklift Truck
• Issuing materials and supplies to production operatives as required
• Ensuring all goods are stored safely and in accordance with company procedures
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or stock control position
• A valid FLT Counterbalance B1 licence would be desirable but not essential
• Strong stock management and inventory control experience
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
