Job Description

This is a permanent full-time position, working a 37.5 hour week, Monday – Friday 07:00 – 15:00.

1. Ensuring priority tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively
2. The labelling of sample bottles, contact and settle plates
3. Preparation of Acid
4. Printing of DPD labels
5. Printing and checking of manifests (before dispatch)
6. Unpack orange boxes and receive samples onto AIS LIMS
7. Ensuring ice packs are readily available for Orange Box’s
8. Mixing, packing and dispatch of test soils
9. Printing of test soil paperwork
10. Ensure relevant spreadsheets are kept up to date
11. Tracking of Orange Boxes in and out of Stores
12. Packing Orange Box’s (after initial check against manifest)
13. The maintenance of a clean and tidy workplace:
    • Test Soli Room
    • Packing/ Dispatch Benches
    • Removal of cardboard/ rubbish from stores area
    • Sweeping & Mopping
14. Booking in received stock items
15. Stock Takes/ Rotation of stock
16. Making up of PPE Kits
17. Orange Box suitability checks
18. Cleaning/ wiping down of Orange Boxes

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a stores/ dispatch related role
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Confident working with a variety IT Systems for example Microsoft Office
