EMBS Talent in Northampton is seeking a Stores Operative for a 6-month contract. You will support stock control, pick components, dispatch shipments, and work closely with the stores team to maintain accurate records.

The role requires attention to detail, manual handling, and the ability to work to deadlines in a busy aerospace-oriented environment. You will follow health and safety rules and contribute to continuous improvement of stock processes.

Responsabilidades

• Follow and help improve the company's stock management process
• Run full stock counts twice a year, ready for the external year-end audit
• Make stock adjustments in the ERP system (EFACS)
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and trace them using ERP logs
• Pick components and rebuild kits against works orders and requisitions
• Prepare and support domestic and international despatches, including customs invoices and shipping paperwork
• Work closely with colleagues across departments and the wider Stores team to avoid duplicated effort
• Keep your line manager updated on stock check issues or concerns
• Follow Health & Safety regulations, company policies and procedures

Overview

EMBS Talent is working in partnership with a global manufacturer known for producing high-precision, detailed components across a range of machining processes, supplying primarily into the aerospace sector.

Responsibilities

• Follow and help improve the company's stock management process
• Run full stock counts twice a year, ready for the external year-end audit
• Make stock adjustments in the ERP system (EFACS)
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and using ERP transaction logs to trace and resolve them
• Pick components and rebuild kits accurately against works orders and requisitions
• Prepare and support domestic and international despatches, including customs invoices and shipping paperwork
• Work closely with colleagues across departments and with the wider Stores team to avoid duplicated effort
• Keep your line manager updated on any issues or concerns from stock checks
• Follow all Health & Safety regulations, company policies and procedures

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Previous experience in stores and inventory control
• Manual handling experience
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach, with the focus to stay accurate on repetitive, detailed tasks
• Good organisation and the ability to prioritise your workload and hit deadlines
• Able to work independently on a defined project, and equally comfortable as part of a team
• Clear, confident communication
