Job summary

Chippenham-based Stores Operative role on a 6‑month contract, with potential extension, Monday to Friday 7:30am–3:30pm. You will pick/pack orders, book goods using SAP, kit components for production, and maintain accurate stock records in a busy warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate has stores or warehouse experience, familiarity with SAP, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Weekend work is not required.

Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Stores Operative to join a busy and fast-paced team in Chippenham on a 6-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with experience in warehouse or stores environments who is confident working with systems and managing stock efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
• Booking goods in and out of stores using SAP
• Kitting components for production or dispatch
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory control
• Supporting general stores and warehouse operations

Requirements

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics role
• Experience using SAP or similar stock management systems
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Counterbalance forklift licence (preferred)
