Job summary

Mane Energy in Severn Beach, Bristol, is seeking a Contract Stores Operative on a 6-month contract basis. The role covers the electronic and physical movement of materials from goods inwards to goods outwards, with a rotating shift pattern.

You will handle goods in/out, ensure accurate labelling, and maintain stock accuracy, including cycle counts and RTS transactions, while supporting other departments and the Packing team as needed. A 10% shift allowance is paid on top of basic pay.

Responsibilities

• Goods inwards: receive materials, reconcile to delivery note, book in.
• Goods outwards: pick and transact kitting, label accordingly, liaise with production.
• General: maintain stock accuracy with data entry, locate goods accurately, cycle counting, RTS transactions, manage vendor consignment stock, support other departments, cover Packing team, rotate shifts as per Team Leader's rota, perform other tasks as required.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Contract Stores Operative for a 6-month contract role to join our team based in Severn Beach, Bristol. The primary purpose of the material handling role is to perform the electronic and physical movement of material from receiving goods inwards to issuing goods outwards in a safe and accurate manner.

The working hours for this role are: 06:00 - 14:00 Monday - Thursday and 06:00 - 11:00 Friday. You will be eligible for a 10% shift allowance on top of your basic pay.

Key Responsibilities:

Goods inwards

• Receive materials, reconcile goods to the delivery note & book in.
• Ensure that items are appropriately protected and labelled accordingly.
• Put away materials in the correct locations with care and attention.
• To process goods in a timely manner whilst upholding quality standards to prevent a backlog.

Goods outwards

• Accurately pick and transact any kitting requirements in a timely manner.
• Ensure that labels clearly identify the part, related work order or destination as appropriate.
• Liaise with production to ensure kits are delivered to the right destinations on time.
• Preparation and issuing of palletised and high-level assembly (HLA) goods to production.

General

• Follow procedures that maintain stock accuracy with correct data entry for transactions.
• Transact and locate goods with a high level of accuracy and care to get it right the first time, every time.
• Perform cycle counting to maintain stock accuracy, reporting and investigating stock variations.
• Ensure parts 'returned to stock' (RTS) are accurately transacted and correctly located in stock.
• Maintain records of vendor consignment stock parts for auditing purposes.
• Provide support to other departments in the movement of material.
• Provide cover to the Packing team during absences and busy periods.
• Work on a rotating shift pattern in line with the rota notified to you by your Team Leader.
• Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably requested by the Company.
