Igloo Ltd is recruiting a Stores Operative in Thurleigh to support a busy automotive operation. The role involves receiving, storing, and issuing vehicle parts and consumables with a focus on accuracy and organisation.

You will be responsible for updating stock records, performing regular stock checks, and maintaining a clean stores environment. The position offers weekly pay and onsite parking within a leading automotive company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stores/warehouse environments is desirable.
• Good organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable using computer systems to update stock records.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable with a proactive and flexible approach to work.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Forklift experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Receiving deliveries and unloading goods safely.
• Checking deliveries against paperwork and reporting shortages or damaged items.
• Booking goods into the inventory management system.
• Moving stock to correct storage locations.
• Labelling and organising parts accurately.
• Carrying out regular stock checks and assisting with stock takes.
• Picking and issuing parts and consumables to internal departments.
• Preparing and kitting parts for production teams.
• Updating stock records to maintain inventory levels.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised stores environment, including disposal of packaging materials.

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join a busy automotive operation in Thurleigh. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and organised individual to join a fast-paced stores team, supporting the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of vehicle parts and consumables.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring stock is received, stored, and issued accurately while maintaining high standards of organisation and housekeeping.

The Role:

As a Stores Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Receiving deliveries and unloading goods safely
• Checking deliveries against paperwork and reporting any shortages or damaged items
