Job summary

Hayley Dexis in Oldbury, West Midlands, is seeking a Stores Assistant to join the warehouse team. You will assist with picking, packing and dispatching goods, and support stock handling across the branch network.

You'll need a valid UK driving licence, good communication, and be a strong team player. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00, with training and opportunities through the Hayley Academy.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar warehouse environment beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and dispatch goods in the warehouse.
• Process stock, receipting goods and shelving items.
• Conduct stock checks and general warehouse housekeeping.
• Liaise with colleagues across the branch network.
• Support flexible tasks across the team as required.

About the Stores Assistant role:

As our Stores Assistant, you will mainly be assisting with operations in our warehouse, picking, packing and dispatching goods. You will also be required to assist with processing of stock, including receipting goods, shelving items in the correct locations, stock checks and general warehouse housekeeping. A key member of the team, you will be required to liaise with other colleagues and departments across the branch network.

The environment and culture are one where everyone mucks in and works across a variety of tasks. That could mean one moment you’d be picking goods and the next hopping in the van to assist with a delivery. There’s no task this team doesn’t do and so if you are someone that is looking for a role that is varied and you like getting stuck in then this could be the perfect fit!

What we’re looking for in our Stores Assistant:
