Job summary

Stores and Logistics Assistant needed for a long-term temporary role in a manufacturing environment. You will help receive, store and supply materials to support customer deliveries and production.

Hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday 7:30am-1:30pm, with early finish on Fridays. Immediate start, overtime opportunities and a friendly, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good IT skills and experience with stock control systems.
• Good numeracy and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Counterbalance forklift licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Booking in and checking incoming deliveries.
• Identifying, storing and locating stock.
• Maintaining inventory records in internal systems.
• Picking, packing and preparing products for dispatch.
• Kitting materials and supplying production teams.
• Line-feeding stock to production areas.
• Stock and inventory checks.
• Maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
• Supporting other departments as required.

Job description

I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Stores and Logistics Assistant to join their team on a long-term temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, stores, logistics or manufacturing experience who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and takes pride in accuracy, organisation and teamwork.

Working within a busy stores environment, you will play a key role in ensuring materials and products are received, stored and supplied efficiently to support both customer deliveries and production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Booking in and checking incoming deliveries
• Accurately identifying, storing and locating stock
• Maintaining inventory records using internal systems
• Picking, packing and preparing products for dispatch
• Kitting materials and supplying production teams
• Line-feeding stock to production areas
• Carrying out regular stock and inventory checks
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Supporting other departments as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
• Good IT skills and confidence using stock control systems
• Good numeracy and communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive, flexible and reliable approach to work
• Ability to undertake manual handling duties, including lifting up to 25kg
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• A Counterbalance Forklift Licence would be advantageous, although not essential
