Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and log incoming deliveries, including PPE, tools and components.
• Pick, dispatch and ship tools, PPE and safety equipment to workshop and offshore teams.
• Maintain stock levels, conduct regular stock checks and ensure proper storage and identifiability.
• Use inventory systems to record goods received, issued, transfers and movements.
• Maintain documentation, batch numbers and certificates for traceability.
• Keep stores, yard and working areas clean, organised and accessible.
• Follow company health, safety and environmental procedures for all stores activities.
• Control company tools, equipment and consumables; report damaged items.
• Collaborate with workshop, fabrication, logistics and project teams to ensure availability of materials.
• Assist with loading/unloading deliveries and other store operations.

About the Role

On behalf of our Client, we are seeking an organised and reliable Storeperson to join their team in Kintore. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the stores facility, ensuring materials, equipment, tools, PPE and specialist components are received, recorded, stored and issued accurately and efficiently.

This role is suited to someone with strong attention to detail who is comfortable working in a busy industrial environment and understands the importance of stock control, traceability and safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Control: Receive, inspect, check and accurately log incoming deliveries, including manufacturing materials, PPE, tools and specialist welding and coating components.
• Order Picking & Dispatch: Pick, prepare and dispatch tools, hardware, PPE and safety equipment to the fabrication workshop and offshore project teams.
• Stock Management: Maintain accurate stock levels, conduct regular stock checks and ensure materials are stored correctly and are readily identifiable.
• System Logging: Use computerised inventory and stock management systems to record goods received, goods issued, transfers and stock movements, maintaining full material traceability.
• Material Traceability: Ensure relevant documentation, batch numbers, certificates and identification records are maintained where required.
• Stores Organisation: Keep the stores, yard and associated working areas clean, organised and accessible.
• Health & Safety: Follow company procedures and ensure all stores activities comply with relevant industrial health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Equipment & Tools: Maintain control of company tools, equipment and consumables, reporting damaged, missing or defective items as required.
• Team Support: Work closely with workshop, fabrication, logistics and project teams to ensure materials and equipment are available when required.
• General Stores Duties: Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and other duties associated with the efficient operation of the stores facility.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or logistics role, preferably within an industrial, engineering, oil & gas or fabrication environment.
• Good computer skills and experience using stock or inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to record keeping.
• An understanding of stock control and material traceability.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• A flexible and proactive approach to day-to-day tasks.
