Job summary

Orion Group is seeking a disciplined Storeperson to manage the stores facility in Kintore. You will receive, inspect and log materials, ensure accurate storage and issue items to the fabrication workshop and offshore teams.

The role emphasizes stock control, traceability and strong safety practices in a busy industrial environment. Experience in an oil & gas setting and forklift certification are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores/warehouse/logistics, preferably industrial/oil & gas environments.
• Good computer skills and stock/inventory systems experience.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical record-keeping.
• Understanding of stock control and material traceability.
• Commitment to health and safety in a busy stores setting.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Flexible, proactive approach to daily tasks.
• Forklift/telehandler experience or certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and log incoming deliveries, including PPE, tools and components.
• Pick, dispatch and ship tools, PPE and safety equipment to workshop and offshore teams.
• Maintain stock levels, conduct regular stock checks and ensure proper storage and identifiability.
• Use inventory systems to record goods received, issued, transfers and movements.
• Maintain documentation, batch numbers and certificates for traceability.
• Keep stores, yard and working areas clean, organised and accessible.
• Follow company health, safety and environmental procedures for all stores activities.
• Control company tools, equipment and consumables; report damaged items.
• Collaborate with workshop, fabrication, logistics and project teams to ensure availability of materials.
• Assist with loading/unloading deliveries and other store operations.
