Job summary

Matalan is seeking a Team Manager to act as a role model in our stores, championing Matalan values while optimising sales and leading a dynamic team. You’ll coach and motivate colleagues as part of the store management team and may run the store in the absence of the Store Manager, using customer feedback to enhance the shopping experience.

In this role you’ll drive sales opportunities, lead VM implementation, and ensure excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in Fashion or Homeware Retail.
• Confident communicator who can engage and motivate others.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to coach a high-performing team.
• Good understanding of Visual Merchandising (VM).
• Ability to identify sales opportunities and drive new ideas.
• Strong knowledge of operational processes and cost awareness.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Coach and motivate team members to drive performance.
• Drive sales targets and explore sales opportunities.
• Role model of outstanding customer service and company values.
• Lead seasonal layouts and visual guidelines across the store.
• Open and close the store and manage in the store manager's absence.
