Job summary

Co-op Group in Birmingham is looking for a Customer Team Leader to manage a small store team in a fast-paced environment. You'll lead shifts, coach colleagues, and run day-to-day operations on the shop floor and tills while ensuring great service and store standards.

You'll engage with customers and the local community, support merchandising and stock checks, and promote Co-op membership and services. This role is part-time with varied shifts, including early mornings and late evenings, in-store

Qualifications

• Minimum criteria as stated in the posting; focus on leadership and customer service experience.
• Experience in retail, merchandising, or team management is desirable.
• Passion for people and flexible, lead-by-example approach.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.
