Job summary

Co-op Group in Bath is seeking a Customer Team Leader to manage day-to-day store operations, lead a small team, and ensure excellent customer service. You’ll work on the shop floor and in the in-store bakery, supporting daily performance and community engagement.

You’ll drive merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes while championing Co-op membership and local initiatives. This role involves varied shifts, including early mornings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Skills in retail, merchandising, or team management (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, and in our in-store bakery, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.
