Job summary

Ryman is seeking a Store Supervisor to support the store management team and drive turnover in a lean retail environment. The role is 13 hours per week, focusing on exceptional customer service and adherence to brand standards.

You will lead by example, help train colleagues, maintain visual merchandising, and ensure store security. Flexibility with hours and location is required, with a focus on delivering sales and KPI targets.

Responsibilities

• Act as ambassador for Ryman and share knowledge with customers.
• Contribute to high level of customer service and drive turnover.
• Help train colleagues using available tools to boost team performance.
• Ensure security and accuracy of company systems per policy.
• Promote high visual merchandising standards and store housekeeping.
• In absence of Store/Deputy Manager, assume accountability and motivate staff; liaise with Retail Support Centre; manage weekly timesheets.

If so we have an exciting opportunity to sharpen your skills and become a Supervisor working 13 hours per week.

WHAT WILL THIS ROLE INVOLE?

As a Store Supervisor you will be responsible for supporting the store management team, you'll be tasked with driving forward both turnover and revenues from the store based on lean principles. Keeping a close focus on customer service, you will be an ambassador of the Ryman brand.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

• Act as an ambassador for Ryman and the wider Theo Paphitis Retail Group by showing interest in learning everything about the business and your role and positively sharing this knowledge with our customers
• Contribute towards making Ryman the number one High Street Stationer by providing a consistent high level of customer service
• Drive a culture of excellent customer service ensuring all team members engage with customers enthusiastically, Assist with the training of colleagues, utilising available tools to maximise the performance of the team
• Ensure the security and accuracy of all company systems and ensure that all systems are utilised by all team members as per company policies and procedures
• Promote high visual merchandising standards; ensuring that store housekeeping standards are high and continually achieved
• In the absence of the Store/Deputy Manager assume full accountability for the overall security and safety of our people and property ensuring the Branch operates in line with company policies and procedures. Motivate all colleagues to drive sales and to achieve required KPIs. Liaise with the Retail Support Centre should any issues need to be reported. Support with any weekly time sheets.
