Store Manager

Full Time | Permanent

Swindon

As a Store Operations Manager within our Johnstone's Decorating Centre, you will lead from the front. Your responsibilities will include driving and growing sales, ensuring operational standards meet the expected level of excellence.

You will provide outstanding customer service and support within your store, always demonstrating a positive, customer-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieving sales and profit targets within the store to ensure company profitability.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of sales assistants, including organizing work rotas and managing absences. The team size will depend on store size.
  • Providing training and coaching to new and existing colleagues.
  • Working with Operational Managers to manage resources within budgeted costs.
  • Maintaining high security standards and full compliance with company policies regarding stock, financial transactions, security, and premises.
  • Handling decorating centre accounts in line with company guidelines.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
  • Participating in recruitment and selection procedures in collaboration with the District Operations Manager.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment with direct sales experience.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and motivational skills with supervisory experience.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in difficult situations.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours and duties, including providing cover for other decorating centres in the zone as needed.
