Job summary

Cancer Research UK is looking for a motivated Retail Store Manager to lead our trading store in St Annes. You will manage a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers, drive fundraising and sales targets, and ensure excellent customer service.

This permanent, full-time role covers 37.5 hours per week, with responsibility for commercial operations, stock control, merchandising, rota planning and compliance with health & safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing and inspiring a diverse team of people.
• Comfort working within targets and motivating others to achieve those targets.
• The ability to multi-task in a lively environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, retention and development of a diverse shop team.
• Taking ownership of commercial running including display, stock management and shop standards.
• Leading by example to provide excellent customer and supporter service.
• Maximising profit through effective cost control and sales.
• Organising and running fundraising events to meet targets.
• Maintaining health and safety, safeguarding, security and HR compliance.
• Manual handling and physical activity as part of day-to-day duties.
