Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is recruiting for a Store Manager in Stoke-on-Trent. You will lead a sales team, drive performance, and ensure top-notch customer service in daily store operations.

Experience in retail management with strong leadership and communication skills is essential. 40-hour weeks with weekend work; carpets/flooring/beds experience is a plus but not essential. On-site parking available and progression opportunities offered.

Store Manager - Stoke-on-Trent - 29.000k base - £33,000 OTE

HRGO Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established retail organisation for an experienced Store Manager to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on retail manager with strong sales, leadership and customer service experience to join a successful business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the store, leading and motivating the sales team, driving sales performance against targets and KPIs, and ensuring the highest possible standards of customer service. Previous experience within carpets, flooring or beds retail would be advantageous but is not essential.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the retail store
• Lead, motivate and coach the sales team

About You:

• Proven experience working as a Retail Store Manager or similar - essential
• Previous experience managing, motivating and developing a team
• Strong understanding of the retail sales process
• Proven experience working towards sales targets and KPIs
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Confident and professional approach to customer service
• Positive, proactive and self-motivated with a strong can-do attitude
• Ability to use initiative and make decisions independently
• Strong commercial awareness and focus on achieving results
• Previous carpets, flooring or beds retail experience is preferred but not essential
• Experience within a target-driven sales environment
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, including weekends
• Full UK driving licence is preferred
