Cook View All Jobs is seeking a dynamic Store Leader to oversee a busy retail team. You will guide a team of 15+ people, maintain a high service standard, and drive sales through strong product knowledge and customer engagement.

You will ensure stock accuracy, manage shop appearance, and uphold brand standards while mentoring staff and supporting local initiatives to grow profitability.

Job description

Lead our small shop teams who are responsible for delivering a friendly buzz, excellent retailing and remarkable service. You will be responsible for building great relationships with our customers, knowing our food inside out, and leading an excellent retail operation. As well as driving sales you will also be a hands on member of the team, serving customers and replenishing stocks to ensure the best possible sales environment for our customers. We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience leading a team of 15+ people
• Has managed a business with £1m+ in sales
• Brings real passion for retail and drive to deliver results
• Can inspire and build a first-class team
• Has proven leadership experience (essential)

The Role

Remarkable Service To provide first class customer service to every customer, every time, and to lead your team to do the same. To treat every customer with courtesy and respect and ensure they take priority over whatever else you are doing. Lead your team to develop their product knowledge so they can advise customers on menu planning and increase sales by talking about upcoming offers, products and promotions.

Remarkable Business

Deliver all financial targets through your team. Understand your P&L report each period and maintain a reporting system for any variances. We are a food business - make sure the shop always looks immaculate, clean and spotless. Ensure your team represent the brand at all times through their service, standard of dress and communication with customers. Develop excellence in cash handling and weekly reporting to ensure our Central functions receive the information they require. Review your service levels regularly and plan local marketing where necessary. Checking in deliveries and placing orders. Accountable for accurate stock taking every period.

Remarkable People

Communication is key. Ensure that you keep your team up to date with new products and team targets are communicated - everyone needs to be working towards the same goal. You must ensure that all members of your team are trained in all aspects of their role. This includes health and safety and daily shop procedures. Maintain staff records in discipline, sickness and holidays. Lead by example and by the COOK values, going above and beyond to resolve any challenges with people whilst identifying potential stars within your team that you can develop.
