A recruitment agency based in Bristol is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth into new markets. The successful candidate will focus on winning new business, primarily through cold calling and networking. This role offers a basic salary of £40k–£45k with an opportunity for equity. Flourish are on the hunt for a BDM for our client in the recruitment sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious BDM to shape their own path, build a team, and help our client expand into new markets, including the US East Coast. High performers will have the chance to earn equity. The company operates in sales, tech, and insurance markets, and will soon add freight and logistics. £40‑£45k basic salary + OTE
The BDM will be the first dedicated hire for this function, with the intention to build a sales team beneath them as the business grows. The role will expand to include targeting and developing business in the US East Coast market. The company offers flexibility on working hours to accommodate US time zones, but there is no expectation of unsociable hours. The company is open to tailoring the role and career path to the right individual. There is a pathway to equity and shares as part of long‑term incentives.
Office: Bristol, in a modern, open, glass‑fronted space shared with a sister agency. Amenities include plants, table tennis, PlayStations, snack cupboards, a hot chocolate station, colouring and wellness rooms, and a yoga room.
Hybrid: The team is currently Bristol‑based, but the company is open to remote or hybrid arrangements. Minimum office days are Monday and Wednesday, which are core days for company cohesion as the team grows.
Fully flexible. Employees can choose their start and finish times, such as 8 to 4, 9 to 5, 10 to 6, or even 7 to 3 or 11 to 7. The culture is outcome‑driven with no micromanagement.
