Job summary

Morrisons in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Store Manager to deputise for the Store Manager, lead from the front and create a welcoming environment where every colleague feels valued and capable of success.

You will own store operations, drive high standards, coach department managers, and foster a high-performing team while delivering safe, legal, and customer-focused service daily.

Qualifications

• Ideally you’ll have proven experience in the retail industry, with a track record of successfully managing a large, fast-paced store operation turning over at least £150k a week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower the team: Build management capability across the store, mentoring talent and supporting department heads with clear plans to help them grow.
• Keep standards high, safe, and legal: Act as the store’s expert on safe and legal standards, ensuring food safety laws, hygiene, and daily routines are delivered properly every shift.
• Drive sales and availability: Use your commercial mindset to review store data, spot opportunities, and manage resources so our shelves are always well-stocked for our customers.
• Listen and improve: Work to support teams through change, listening directly to customer feedback and acting on it to keep making our daily service better.
